cbd hemp oil benefits list

Cannabis is a plant, and there are two main types, Cannabis Indica and Cannabis Sativa. Both marijuana and CBD can be derived from both types, but hemp is only derived from Cannabis Sativa. By law, hemp must contain no more than 0.3% THC (the oil in marijuana that gives you a high) to be called hemp, otherwise, growers are at risk of prosecution under federal law. Hemp is a great resource for making 100% biodegradable, environmentally friendly products such as clothing, packaging, biofuel, building materials, and paper.

A laboratory study found that CBD prevented human sebocytes from creating too much sebum in addition to having an anti-inflammatory effect, preventing inflammatory cytokines from activating. Because excessive sebum and inflammation are characteristic of acne, topical CBD could be an effective treatment for acne and may prevent or reduce future breakouts. 12,13

What is CBD?

Conclusion: CBD may help with depression but more trials are needed.

CBD oil can interact with certain medications, including some drugs used to treat epilepsy. CBD inhibits an enzyme called cytochrome P450 (CYP450), which metabolizes certain drugs. By interfering with CYP450, CBD may either increase the toxicity or decrease the effectiveness of these drugs.

CBD oil contains CBD mixed with an inert carrier oil, such as coconut oil or hemp seed oil. The bottled oil, called a tincture, is sold in various concentrations. There are also CBD capsules, CBD gummies, and under-the-tongue CBD sprays.

In addition, the stroke volume (the amount of blood remaining in the heart after a heartbeat) was significantly reduced, meaning that the heart was pumping more efficiently.

Interactions

CBD oil is an extract of Cannabis indica or Cannabis sativa—the same plants that, when dried, make marijuana. CBD oil is believed by some to treat pain, reduce anxiety, and stimulate appetite in the same way that marijuana does, but without its psychoactive effects. CBD has also shown promise in treating certain types of seizures.

To avoid interactions, tell your doctor and pharmacist about all prescription, over-the-counter, herbal, or recreational drugs you are taking.

CBD shows promise in the treatment of anxiety disorders, suggests a 2015 review of studies in the journal Neurotherapeutics. According to the investigators, CBD demonstrated potent anxiolytic (anxiety-relieving) effects in animal research, albeit with counterintuitive results.

Many of these interactions are mild and require no adjustment to treatment. Others may require a drug substitution or the separation of doses by several hours.

Other studies also demonstrate that phytocannabinoids have topical anti-inflammatory properties. Test-tube studies on cannabinoid and acne [78] found that CBD oil has an anti-inflammatory effect on the sebaceous glands and helps reduce skin oil production that triggers acne.

CBD may work as an antioxidant and help reduce oxidative stress, a condition that occurs when the body has too many free radicals making it difficult for antioxidants to neutralize them. Hence, owing to the rising of toxicity in our environment, it’s a comparatively recent problem.

Since diabetes is an inflammatory condition, CBD can help due to its anti-inflammatory properties. CBD has shown promise [53] in moderating blood sugars for those who have type 2 diabetes but don’t take insulin and reduces insulin resistance.

Two separate studies show that CBD oil has neuroprotective and antioxidant qualities [65] that help in easing neurological damage caused by free radicals.

This bacteria build-up, in turn, causes red blemishes on the skin. To keep the bacteria away, you should always keep your skin clean and opt for skin oil that won’t clog your skin. Studies show that CBD oil has properties that help stop factors that trigger acne. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and helps inhibit oil production [39] .

A survey was done [17] on the efficacy of regulatory body-approved pharmaceutical treatments for fibromyalgia versus CBD. The prescription medicines were poorly effective compared to CBD.

Summary: No Proof – There lacks enough academic research to support that CBD helps maintain brain health.
