cbd brothers oil review

CBD Brothers uses CO2 extraction with low heat and low pressure to pull CBD and other active cannabinoids from the plant material. Their oil tinctures contain full-spectrum terpenes, flavonoids, and a host of beneficial phytocannabinoids (it is more or less common knowledge nowadays that whole-plant tinctures are more effective than isolates).

There is no ‘high’ at all, but we felt a whole lot better once we used this CBD oil.

The Original Alternative: Who Are They… And Are They the Same as CBD Brothers?

The ingredients are all-natural, with dates added to sweeten the raw cacao butter. Other ingredients include sea salt, vanilla extract, and coconut oil. However, they genuinely taste like high-quality candy that you would buy in a boutique store! The only problem is restricting yourself to two a day. Also, at £7.20 a pack they are better served as a treat rather than as your sole, daily dose of CBD.

As usual, we were looking forward to the edibles section and CBD Brothers had more options than most companies. There are three different Belgian Chocolate bars, Goodness Raw Chocolate, and a pair of hot chocolate stirrers (a powder that you mix into a glass of hot water or milk). The Goodness chocolate bites seemed the most appealing, so we gave them a shot!

CBD Brothers are a very reputable and trustworthy CBD brand, as shown by their lab reports and transparent practices. Using hemp grown in Europe, you can be sure that these products are safe, legal, and high quality.

The Blue Edition CBD oil contains 2000 mg of whole plant extracts, of which >25% is CBD; this equates to 500 mg. With 5% CBD per 10ml, there is approximately 2.5 mg of CBD in each drop of oil. There are three size and strength options for the Blue Edition oil:

Instead extracted from Cannabis indica plants, the White Edition oil adds some nice variation to the range of CBD oils. The 10ml variety of this oil contains 500 mg of whole plant extract and >30% CBD, meaning there is 150 mg of CBD in the bottle. After doing a little maths, this means that there is 0.75 mg of CBD per drop of oil. This is a pretty weak strength but is very ideal for beginners and those who want to give CBD oil a try. This option is only available in a 10ml bottle (for £66.00), or as a collection of 3x 10ml bottles, costing £178.20. If you buy the three-pack, you can save £19.80 as opposed to buying three separately.

Once again, the Red Edition oil is made from an indica plant. This is quite a bit stronger than the White Edition, though, containing 1000 mg of whole plant cannabinoids of which >30% (300 mg) is CBD. The Red Editon, in other words, is 3% strength CBD oil. There is roughly 1.5 mg of CBD per drop of oil. Once again, you can purchase a 10ml bottle costing £126.00, or buy a three-pack for £340.20 and save £37.80. Talk about a bargain!

It’s significantly cheaper than any other similar strength oil I’ve found and even beats Holland and Barrett’s 5% Jacob Hooy oil which is priced at £29.99 for 10ml. With only a couple of issues to iron out regarding the THC levels and labelling, this is probably the best value oil I have used to date.

The CBD Brothers grows their hemp at licensed farms in Guernsey. They initially imported hemp from Holland, but now have greater control of their crops by growing them closer to home. Their Sativa and hybrid strains are grown outdoors in the sunlight then treated with supercritical CO2 to produce a high-quality whole plant extract. They maintain their exceptional standards by using third-party lab testing and independent bodies to provide rigorous quality checks.

The CBD Brothers, also known as ‘The Original Alternative’, is a small UK company with the motto ‘Health over Wealth’. They pride themselves on being passionate advocates of the benefits of cannabis and produce a select range of quality oils. Unlike other CBD brands, with the CBD Brothers, you don’t just select your oil by strength, you can also choose from Indica, Sativa or hybrid strains.

CBD Brothers Value for Money

This 10ml blue edition is a 500mg CBD/CBDa, oil made from Sativa hemp strains. Different hemp varieties deliver different effects that come from the ratio of cannabinoids and terpenes.

This is an aromatic, deep brown oil that comes in a sturdy glass bottle. It has a simple white label, displaying nothing but the company logo. This approach gives the impression that it’s functional and effortlessly stylish. There is no information on the bottle, for that you need to look to the box it comes in. There, you can find everything you need to know, from the best amount to take to how they extract the CBD.

The results show that the 500mg on the packaging refers to both CBD and CBDa. The box says ‘500mg CBD’ so this could be clearer. You actually get 439mg of CBD and 118mg of CBDa, which gives you a total of 557mg CBD and CBDa. The combined quantity of all the cannabinoids is 690mg.

Included in that is 18.9mg of THC, which falls well outside of the UK’s legal limit of 1mg per container .
